FLÂNEUR WINES IS RELEASING A CUVÉE FOR A CAUSE
The Carlton Based Winery is Celebrating the Opening of their New Hospitality Center by Offering a Special Cuvée that Benefits the Local Community

Carlton, OR ♦ Flâneur Winery of Carlton is set to make history this September by opening a full-service wine tasting and hospitality center in a rehabilitated, 125-year-old Grain Elevator.  To celebrate the opening of Flâneur Wines at the Carlton Grain Elevator, the up-and-coming winery will be offering 600 magnums of Pinot Noir from the 2017 vintage, crafted by winemaker Grant Coulter, as a special bottling that they have fittingly named Cuvée for a Cause.  One-third of the proceeds from the sale of this special celebratory offering will be donated to Yamhill Carlton Together Cares (www.yctogethercares.com/), a local non-profit that provides opportunities for the youth and families of Yamhill and Carlton.

“Everyone in the community has been so supportive of our efforts to revitalize the town’s iconic structure.  The town is literally abuzz because it has meant so much to the residents of Carlton,” says Marty Doerschlag, Founder & Owner of Flâneur Wines.  “We truly feel like we are a part of the community and this is our way of saying thank you for welcoming us with open arms.”

The limited, magnum-only offering is outfitted with a replica of Carlton’s newest painted mural; one that adorns the south side of the future new home of the winery’s experiences.  Boasting the tagline – Experience Art in Everyday Life – it was created as an homage to the mural that Ken Wright placed on the north side of the adjacent tower over ten years prior.  However, instead of paying tribute to the Carlton days of the past, this new mural focuses squarely on the future of Carlton and the surrounding high-quality winemaking region.

Destined to be a collector’s item, the limited production 1.5L Magnum retails for $150 and is 100% Pinot Noir from Flaneur’s La Belle Promenade & Flanerie Estate Vineyards in addition to the storied X-Novo Vineyard in Eola-Amity Hills.  In total, when all bottles are sold, the charitable donation will translate to upwards of $30,000 for the local charity and the residents of Yamhill County. This limited bottling will be released the first weekend in September.  Those interested should contact Flaneur Wines to reserve bottles while they last.  Contact us via email at [email protected] or call 503.899.4120 to secure yours today!

Labor Day Wine Tasting in the Willamette Valley

FLÂNEUR WINES, RÉSONANCE, & 00 WINES ARE OFFERING A LABOR DAY PASSPORT TO CARLTON

The Three Highly Regarded Wineries Are Collaborating on Saturday August 31st for a Unique Day of Wine Tasting

Carlton, OR ♦ Three up-and-coming wineries in the burgeoning wine-centric community of Carlton, Oregon are collaborating by opening all three of their new tasting rooms and hospitality centers to showcase the city of Carlton as the place for high-quality wines and culinary delights this Labor Day.

Saturday, August 31st Flâneur Wines, Résonance and 00 Wines will be offering a Labor Day Wine Tasting under the name Passport to Carlton which will entitle guests to taste wines at each of their respective wineries.  The all-inclusive tastings will be a one-time charge of $60 per person or complimentary for wine club members of any of the three producers.

Additionally, the highly anticipated restaurant, Earth & Sea, which took over the former DePonte tasting room, will be offering a three-course $35 Prix Fixe menu that features Chef Thomas’ seasonally changing menu – focused on locally sourced ingredients that celebrate the land and the sea.  Diners looking to book need only to contact the restaurant directly.

To say that Carlton has been going through a bit of a growth-spurt in the high-quality wine department is an understatement.  Earlier this June, Résonance, the Oregon branch of the 150-year-old Maison Louis Jadot Burgundian operation, opened their new tasting room that was beautifully built atop a newly planted vineyard just east of the city of Carlton.  Their new facility showcases beautiful views of the Résonance Vineyard and the Coast Range.

Then, just weeks after, the highly rated 00 Wines team set up a tasting house just off the square in downtown Carlton.  There, they have been hosting elevated, private tastings featuring their various limited production, high-quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir offerings.

Finally, this September, Flâneur Wines is set to open their new full-service wine tasting and hospitality center in the rehabilitated 125-year-old Grain Elevator located just off the city square.  Passport Guests will get a behind-the-curtain sneak peek of the about-to-open Flâneur Wines at the Carlton Grain Elevator – a one-of-a-kind, multi-level facility that will offer exclusive wine tastings, wine & food pairings and elevated experiences beginning this September 7th.

The three wineries urge wine lovers and collectors alike to travel to Carlton for the day to see first-hand what the buzz is all about!

Grant Coulter Winemaker Interview With Arden Restaurant in Portland

Grant Coulter, Flâneur Winemaker & Director of Vineyards, sat down this past week with our friends at Arden Restaurant and Wine Bar in Portland to publish a question and answer for their followers.  The interview is a brief look into his inspiration, experience and an exploration of his winemaking style.  It’s a quick read, but worth the time to get into the mind of one of the Willamette Valley’s shining stars of winemaking.

Enjoy!
